![]() ![]() Kill Me Heal Me was a whole roller coaster of emotions – I laughed and cried my way through watching it, and was both touched and completely sHOoK at different parts of the drama. ![]() The only criticism I have is that the drama was a bit slow in the beginning it took me a while to really get in to it, but I guess that’s a thing for most dramas… another thing is that sometimes the corporate stuff seemed sort of boring, but it wasn’t TOO much or anything like that. EVERYTHING (cast/acting, music, plot, storytelling, cinematography, etc.) was just exceptional and entertaining. Overall, I would give Kill Me Heal Me a rating of 9 out of 10 stars. Who knew Park Seo Joon could sing so well?! (I was NOT aware.) Park Seo Joon plays Ri On, Ri Jin’s brother, a mystery writer under the pseudonym of “Omega.” There’s also the sweeping love ballad for those heart-warming scenes… And also, THIS. Once the first bars of the theme song begin playing, you know an incredibly heart-wrenching moment is about to happen. Some may say the music is a bit over-played, but I was all for the repetitiveness of the main track, “Auditory Hallucination” by Jang Jae In (ft. I can’t write a review without mentioning the music. Let’s just say, I was harboring some pretty intense wrath against some *ahem* CERTAIN relatives of Do Hyun because the actors’ acting was truly just THAT real and authentic. The other cast members who played characters including Secretary Ahn, Doctor Seok, and the family members of Do Hyun and of Ri Jin, were just as phenomenal in their roles. ![]() The brother-sister relationship between Ri On and Ri Jin is another highlight of the drama-sibling goals forever. I loved the pairing of Ri Jin’s quirky personality and Do Hyun’s sensible, courteous character the amazing chemistry between the two lead actors is the cherry on top.Īnd of course, second-lead syndrome: Park Seo Joon, who plays Ri Jin’s brother Ri On, fits into his character so well. Hwang Jung Eum’s acting is phenomenal as well she is so expressive with Ri Jin, crying hysterically one moment and then being an attentive and empathetic listener the next. Okay but also I just couldn’t stop staring at Ji Sung’s beautiful handsome face (<3) throughout the drama. The acting is top-notch kudos to JI SUNG who was able to portray SEVEN different characters in one drama! THAT is talent. There are so many aspects of Kill Me Heal Me that make the drama so good as a whole. Shin Se Gi, Cha Do Hyun’s most beloved personality. There’s something in Kill Me Heal Me for everyone. There’s a bit of everything in this drama-obviously drama and romance (though love isn’t exactly the main focus don’t be fooled by the image above haha), but also mystery, comedy, and even a little action. I highly recommend Kill Me Heal Me to anyone who enjoys psychological dramas, romantic comedies, or just K-dramas in general. As his seven personalities disrupt and cause disorder in his life, Do Hyun enlists the help of psychiatrist Oh Ri Jin, played by Hwang Jung Eum, hiring her as his personal physician in an effort to cure his disorder. Do Hyun, played by Ji Sung, was living in America to avoid letting his family know about his mental state, but an incident takes him back to Korea, where he is forced to confront his traumatic past and face the responsibilities he has to fulfill as an heir. Kill Me Heal Me is a 20-episode K-drama about Cha Do Hyun, the wealthy inheritor of a family corporation, and his struggle with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), better known as Multiple Personality Disorder. I’ll dive right into the general review, and then I’ll get into all the juicy stuff in the spoiler section! Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum, who play the leads. ![]() I don’t quite remember why I chose to commit to watching Kill Me Heal Me (I think something about Park Seo Joon?), but I have absolutely no regrets in choosing this heartfelt drama. Both dramas were wonderful ( Page Turner was so beautiful and heart-warming Ji Soo is amazing), but they were dramas I chose to casually watch because of their brevity. I picked up Kill Me Heal Me after all the craziness of college applications season, and I watched the drama over a span of about three months (I know, I’m slow). I say Kill Me Heal Me is the first real k-drama I watched because the only other k-dramas I’ve watched before are Choco Bank and Page Turner, series with only 6 episodes and 3 episodes, respectively. For means of closure, I’m getting all the feels out in this review. Hello friends! I haven’t posted in over a year, but… I recently finished watching my first ~real~ k-drama, Kill Me Heal Me. And it killed me. ![]()
